Sometimes you just have no choice ...... you just have to follow the dream ....

And that is what we did, in the middle of the corona entering Norway, spring 2020. Then we decided that we would move to Italy and spend the time ahead as pensioners there. Maybe not the best time to get such an idea, but sometimes you know you have to follow the dream.

We scanned the web for properties, primarily focusing on the Ligurian coast, even though we actually dreamed of Tuscany, but there it was much more expensive, we thought. If we were to live there, we would have to invest in a renovation object and it definitely did not fit into the dream. We had been working enough after we met in 1999.

After a lot of looking and a couple of prospects that almost reached up, we put it all on the shelf. We enjoyed the summer in Norway as best we could, enjoyed ourselves with a new greenhouse and had an art exhibition in Per's garden. Autumn came, the days got darker and the desire to travel knocked on the door again.

Then one night we found it - the dream house - in Tuscany, close to the small village of Santa Maria a Monte. Only the name convinced us. And the price was absolutely affordable, in a location that suited us perfectly. Florence, Piza, Lucca, the beach and white mountains can all be reached in under an hour's drive. The train stops 10 minutes away and we can take a morning walk, with Kippu and Killa, to the village for a coffee. Just the way it should be.
